Maude Walton is the rarely seen wife of Bernard Walton in the town of Odyssey. Though her husband is a familiar figure around town, Maude herself stays mostly out of view. Her romance with Bernard began in memorably odd circumstances. He choked on a chicken sandwich, and Maude saved his life - while wearing a Chickadoodle's chicken suit. Smitten, Bernard enrolled in a counseling class she taught just to see her again. The move backfired and landed him in psychological testing, but the courtship worked out in the end. Bernard has counted their first meeting among the most memorable beginnings a romance could have, holding it up proudly against the stories of other men in town.
