George Barclay

On Wednesday, July 26, George Barclay became the first of many castaways to be voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"It's dissapointing to say the least. I assume the people that voted against me, voted because I lost the intial challenge. I suppose that's as good a reason as any. I just hope that the tribe can survive without me, although I'm certain Jack will be able to pull everyone together. It's time I return to Pokenberry Falls and continue with my preaching. It's a good thing I lasted only 5 days, otherwise I have no idea what would have happened to the Parish!

Doris Rathbone

On Monday, July 31, Doris Rathbone was the second castaway to be voted off the island, first of the Tala Neki tribe. Below is what she had to say after finding out she was voted off.

"Is' this thing on? Good, 'cause I wouldn't wanna be talkin' if ya's wasn't hearin' me right. Anyway, as you's probably already know, them no good people voted me of the island. Bart's sure to be joinin' me soon... same with Rodney. I guess the Rathbone family ain't ever gonna hit the big times, wheeze all gonna be going back to Odyssey, empty handed. I aint never gonna win anything, ever!"

Bart Rathbone

On Saturday, August 5, Bart Rathbone was the third castaway to be voted off the island, second of the Yumnuska tribe. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"The Rathbone's are obviously too much competition for anyone to handle. I mean, isn't it funny that in two weeks, two Rathbone's were voted off the island? You's were worried we'd win the prize... and got rid of us before we had the chance. Is that fair? I mean, why should wheeze be discriminated against because we're better then the average family? It's not fair I tell ya, not fair!"

Walter Shakespeare

On Thursday, August 10, Walter Shakespeare became the third person voted off the island, third of the Yumnusa tribe. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"Well this was certainly not a surprise. I had a feeling they would be voting me off soon, it was only a matter of time. I have no harsh feelings towards anyone on this team, everyone was very kind and friendly. I haven't been feeling to well recently, and I'm going to have a wonderful dinner one I leave here. Oh just thinking about food makes me hungry, it's been rice for me for the past twenty days, and I'm straving."

Rodney Rathbone

On Tuesday, August 15, Rodney Rathbone was the fifth castaway to be voted off the island, second of the Tala Neki tribe. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"These people have no respect, they didn't even say good-bye to me when I left. Is it my fault that the fans wanted me to leave? What have I done to deserve this? Pop's right, never trust no one but yourself. I don't think it's fair, I should be the one winning this contest! Everyone else is so old fashioned, I represent the future generations! I guess that doesn't matter no more... Hey, what am I doing here talkin' to you? As if you care that I was voted off, you probably could care less. If that's the case, then fine. I'll leave... but I think you'll be seeing my Pop's lawyer! Get outta here."

Harlow Doyle

On Sunday, August 20, Harlow Doyle was the last castaway to be voted off the island, before the two tribes merged. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"Hmmm, interesting, very intersting. I press this button here, and the red light goes...(static, as Harlow has shut off the camera) -gain, it goes back on! Jumping Jelly Fish! So that's what your up too, 'ehhh? There's no fooling me, I've seen this in a movie once, you're using this little red light to erase my memory! You want me to have no recollection of ever being on this island, but I won't let you do it, not a chance! I'm on to youuu, there's no escape. I'm just going to press this button and- (static)"

Joanne Allen

On Wednesday, August 30, Joanne Allen was the first castaway to be voted off the island since the two tribes merged. Below is what she had to say after finding out she was voted off.

"I guess the fans figured it was time I leave. I have no ill feelings towards any of my friends here on the island, they were all very nice to me. I'll be happy to return to Odyssey after all we've been through. I pray that the rest of the castways will find strength for the remaining month, it's been hard on everyone. Jack even broke his leg in that accident in the woods, I'm so happy he's all better. Anyway, I suppose I better be on my way. Goodnight everybody!"

Connie Kendall

On Monday, September 4, Connie Kendall became the second person to be voted off since the merger. Below is what she had to say after finding out she was voted off.

"It's strange, in a way. I never really expected tonight would be my night, you know? I was surprised to hear my name, but now that I've given it time to sink in, I don't know why I felt safe. People saw me sick, and people wanted me to get better. They voted to get me some proper medicine, and I thank them for that. I'm also really looking forward to seeing my mom. I haven't seen her in sooo long and I miss her a lot! I've got a lot of things ahead of me, so I better get started. God Bless."

Katrina Shanks

On Saturday, September 9, Katrina Shanks became the last female to be voted off the island. Below is what she had to say after finding out she was voted off.

"Well to say I was surprised would be clouding the truth. I had been prepared to be the one voted off for the last few weeks now. In all honesty, the only thing I'm surprised about is the fact that I have made it so far. I'm in an odd position being the last female voted off, and I suppose the males dominated from the beginning. I pray the best person will win, and I'm sure the Lord will work things out."

Eugene Meltsner

On Thursday, September 14, Eugene Meltsner became the tenth castaway to be voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"I can honestly say that I was ill-prepared for this unexpected turn of events. I had assumed, or perhaps I had hoped, that the manner in which I carried myself on this island was enough to satisfy the viewing public. Alas, I was incorrect in my assumption and now find myself being banished from the island in the final fortnight of my stay. One thing I can certainly look forward to is visiting with Katrina again... she is the silver lining on my darkened cloud, so to speak. Farewell fellow contestants, I bid you good luck."

Bernard Walton

On Tuesday, September 19, Bernard Walton became the eleventh castaway to be voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"Well, I suppose the wife's missed me, can't say I blame her. She's supposed to have stayed with my mother in law, but two months with her and it'll drive anyone crazy. Speaking of crazy, I got one lousy week without Eugene playing that Ukulele of his. Wouldn't suprise me one bit if I walk into my house and there he is, throwing a welcome home bash. Come to think of it, it's hard to believe the world hasn't stopped turning since I've been gone. No clean windows in all of Odyssey! Come to think of it, I don't even know if I got a replacement... well what'd ya know, here I am in the woods, talking to myself. Great Bernard, really great. All this free time on your hands and you begin having conversations with yourself. I gotta get outta here, the sooner the better."

Jack Allen

On Sunday, September 24, Jack Allen became the last Yumnuska castaway to be voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"Only five days left and I was sent home. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but this is part of the game and I came prepared for whatever challenges lied ahead. On the upside, I am looking forward to being reunited with Joanne again. We didn't really see much of each other these past few months, and only spent a week together when the tribes merged before she was sent off. Now it's my turn, and I guess it's time I join her... it would've been nice to make it to the final four, but things just didn't work out that way."

Regis Blackgaard

On Tuesday, September 26, Regis Blackgaard became the first member from the 'Final Four' voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"To think I came this far, the fools! Do they really think I had changed? Of course some of them did, they're all so forgiving. But, did they ever wonder how Jack broke his leg? Why the Yumnuska tribe got their boat lodged in front of a large rock, a rock that had no place in being there? Why Dern mysteriously hurt himself in the woods just outside his cabin? I even rigged the archery competition by replacing my arrow while everyone was busy examing Bernard's! On my water breaks I was able to give myself time to think, time to see things the other castaways didn't. Ha, I even acted as though it was my fault when Connie was voted off. In all honesty, she deserved what she got and so did all the other castaways who got sent home. I could go on and on about things I've done on the island, but I'm through with the competition and these people."

John Avery Whittaker

On Thursday, September 28, John Whittaker became the second member from the 'Final Four' voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"Well I knew I was bound to eventually be sent off the island, since there can only be one winner. But as I've already stated, I have no regrets about what I've done here, and I feel it was an exciting opportunity that I wouldn't trade for anything. It's not the type of thing you get to do everyday, and I hope in the future the younger generations of Odyssey will get a chance to experience what we sixteen got to do. About the winner, I'm happy for both Tom and Jason and I don't think there could be two finer people competing for the million dollar prize. I know they'll both use the money for just causes, and I'm sure whichever one is chosen the winner will make Odyssey proud."

Jason Whittaker

On Saturday, September 30, Jason Whittaker became the last castaway voted off the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he was voted off.

"I made it to the 'Final Two' and I couldn't be happier. Tom's a great guy, and I know that he'll use the money for all the right reasons and he needed the money more then Dad and I did anyway. I just came for the thrill and excitement the island was bound to offer and that's exactly what I got. It's still hard to believe that I spent seventy-one days on that island though! It's gonna be strange heading back to civilization and using modern conveniences. We sure do take things for granted, and I'm going to try and reflect on the simple pleasures of life for the next few weeks... and maybe head over to Tom's farm and help him with adding to 'The Timothy Center'."

Tom Riley

On Saturday, September 30, Tom Riley was awarded the One Million Dollar prize for being the last survivor left on the island. Below is what he had to say after finding out he had won.

"To be honest, I was happy that I made it into the final eight. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would make it the 'Final Four' let alone the 'Final Two'. It's still quite a shock to me, and I reckon things won't settle down in this here stomach of mine for quite some time. It's a nervous, happy, scared feeling that I can't seem to get rid of. This money is sure gonna go far though, let me be the first ta tell ya. I'm gonna donate some of it to Hillingdale Haven, and hopefully take care of my wife Agnes. I also want to put some into 'The Timothy Center', creating more facilities for the kids to use and play on. Of course the remaining portion I have left will go towards the church, and I'll also put some away in case there's anyone out there who needs it more then I. Now, before I go, I would like to thank the fans who voted for me as winner. I never could have got this far without caring fans like you guys... thanks guys, and God bless."
