Ned Lewis

Ned Lewis is a young man in Odyssey who is well liked by the town's kids. Though still a teenager, he takes on real responsibility with them. He has taught a sixth grade Vacation Bible School class at Whit's End, once staging the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego with his students. He has also spent time at Camp What-A-Nut alongside the campers there. Ned is earnest and eager to do things right, but he worries easily. A class of unruly boys can convince him that nothing he says is sinking in. A carved wooden heart once sent him into a panic over whether a twelve-year-old girl loved him. In anxious moments he leans on Whit, whose steady counsel reminds him that God's Word gets through even when nobody sees it happen.
