Marco Dibiasi

Marco Dibiasi is the Italian head cook at Camp What-A-Nut, where he works while hoping to bring his family to America. His energetic English sometimes tangles expressions, but his practical wisdom is clear. When demanding camper Chas Wentworth hands him a special menu and boasts about his father's influence, Marco uses the paper as a rag and opens a water valve that soaks the boy. After Chas's revenge involving popcorn and a skunk turns against him, Marco offers more than a tomato juice bath. He explains that revenge harms the person seeking it and that respect grows from conduct, not possessions. Good humored, hardworking, and firm, Marco serves meals while also giving campers lessons they cannot find on a menu.
