Marcy

Marcy is one of Connie Kendall's old friends from California. When Connie returns for a visit, Marcy quickly notices that life in Odyssey has changed her. She complains that their former group no longer includes Connie and dismisses Pamela's new Christian faith as strange. Marcy invites Connie to a wild party in Beverly Hills, placing the familiar excitement of her old crowd against a quieter beach gathering with Pamela's church friends. Her sarcastic attitude reflects the social pressure Connie feels as she begins reconsidering what she believes and where she belongs. Although Marcy expects Connie to return to her former habits, Connie's choice to skip the party confirms that their friendship can no longer define her direction.
