Mrs. Allison is one of only two other characters (besides Whit) played by Paul Herlinger; the other is Matt Cartwood in "Live at the 25!" (Interestingly, Hal Smith before his death played numerous minor characters in addition to Whit.)

A common misconception is that this title is based on the title of an Austin Power's movie, "The Spy Who Shagged Me". Actually, the title is based on the title of the James Bond film, "The Spy Who Loved Me" (which is what the Austin Power's film spoofed).
