We learn that the courthouse is in Conellsville so that means that Conellsville is the county seat of Campbell County.

Not Necessarily. Here in South Florida, we have several court houses in Broward County. The main courthouse is the one in downtown Fort Lauderdale, but there are other branches in various cities around the county.
However, seeing as how Connelsville seems to be the largest city around, based on comments about its population, etc. it does seem likely that Connelsville is the county seat.
