Wombatman

Wombatman is a caped B-TV hero and a playful parody of Batman, complete with his own secret Wombat Cave. During a program about revenge, the villainous Puzzler invades the lair and traps him inside a word problem. Connie Kendall uses quick mathematics to free him. The encounter places Wombatman inside a collection of stories showing how retaliation multiplies anger instead of creating justice. He and the Puzzler ultimately face the same lesson: vengeance belongs to God, while forgiveness can turn enemies toward friendship. Dramatic, mysterious, and occasionally helpless before arithmetic, Wombatman gives the serious subject a comic center. His predicament shows that even a costumed hero needs help escaping the mental traps created by getting even.
