Scrunch

The Scrunch is the scheming leader of the League of Self-Seekers in a Thanksgiving tale set in Muglueville. Determined to turn Thanksgiving into Thankstaking, he and his followers steal the town's feast, freeze the roads, outlaw prayers, and command everyone to complain. The plan should make gratitude impossible, yet glad songs continue rising from homes across Muglueville. One by one, the villains' hearts thaw as thankfulness survives every hardship they created. Scrunch alone refuses to change and must be carried away for reforming. Sour, controlling, and stubbornly selfish, he cannot understand a joy that does not depend on comfort or possessions. His failure proves that gratitude to God remains available even when meals, travel plans, and favorite traditions have all been taken away.
