Sam Maritan
Sam Maritan is the hard-boiled private eye in a Kids Radio drama inspired by the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Lucy Cutie hires him to find her missing father somewhere along the dangerous road to Jericho. Sam questions a priest and a Levite who passed an injured traveler without helping him. His investigation changes when he stops to bind the stranger's wounds, take him to an inn, and pay for his care. By acting with compassion, Sam discovers that he has stepped inside the very story he is trying to solve. His exaggerated detective style brings humor to the broadcast while showing that a true neighbor is identified by mercy rather than position, background, or clever words.
