Quinton Tolliver
Quinton Tolliver is the bitter son of Balthazar Tolliver, a man who planned an elaborate treasure hunt before his death. Quinton wants nothing to do with the music box, coded messages, furniture, or faith his father left behind. He has already rejected an important gift once and treats the entire search as another wound rather than an invitation. A hidden compartment eventually reveals a Bible, a family letter, and a fortune meant to be shared with James, a stranger connected to both men. Even the promise of wealth cannot dissolve Quinton's resentment, and he walks away. Angry and estranged, Quinton shows how unresolved hurt can make every offering from a parent feel like one more demand instead of a possible path toward reconciliation.
