Nick Grant

Nick Grant is the television heartthrob who plays crime fighter Chad Pearson on Heartbreak Condominiums. A contest brings him to Odyssey for a month with Connie Kendall, one of the few girls who has never watched his show. Nick performs karate tricks, spends money to impress her, and poses for constant publicity until Connie asks him to stop acting like Chad and be himself. The question unsettles him because fame has blurred the difference. Nick admits his real name is Albert Leach and says he misses ordinary life. After slipping away from reporters with Connie's help, he refuses another demanded stunt. Charming but weary of his image, Nick finds a genuine friend in someone who values the person beneath the famous role.
