Linh

Linh is Ricky Chang's grandmother and a determined member of a Vietnamese family forced from its rice farm after the communist takeover in 1975. When remaining became dangerous, she insisted that the whole family escape together by sea, whatever the cost. The night before they left, Linh dreamed of a man in a white robe who raised the dead and awoke believing they would survive. Their overcrowded refugee boat was attacked by pirates, abandoned, and left drifting without food for ten days. With every ordinary hope gone, the family prayed to Jesus before a rescue ship appeared. Courageous and protective, Linh helped carry her relatives through fear toward freedom, and her story became part of the inheritance Ricky shares with others.
