Jim Norton

Jim Norton works in public relations for the Calvin Bloom Company. When student reporter Lucy Cunningham-Schultz investigates accusations about the company's shampoo, he initially laughs at the idea of being interviewed by a child but answers her questions anyway. He explains that the company stopped using a disputed dye after the government ruling and challenges Lucy to distinguish facts from assumptions. After she prints serious accusations from former employee Marjorie Sadler, Jim shows Lucy evidence that Marjorie had been dismissed for cheating on her time cards. He also explains how an inaccurate article can damage a company's reputation even after a retraction. His firm response forces Lucy to confront the consequences of careless reporting.
