Frank Weaver

Frank Weaver is Rachel Weaver's father, whose own delays complicate his daughter's determined effort to become punctual. Rachel has already lost friends' patience and nearly lost her place in a volleyball tournament because she is always late. On the morning she finally resolves to arrive on time, Frank's car will not start. The breakdown forces Rachel to try her bicycle, beginning a difficult trip across town. Although Frank is not responsible for all of her habits, his transportation trouble tests whether she will keep her word when circumstances become genuinely inconvenient. Rachel reaches the gym before the first serve and later offers her father some punctuality advice of her own. Frank's part shows that planning matters because even well-meant schedules can meet unexpected obstacles.
