Evangelist

Evangelist is a faithful guide in the KYDS Radio production of Pilgrim's Progress. When Christian leaves the Township of Evil carrying a crushing burden, Evangelist directs him toward the narrow path and the Celestial City. Christian repeatedly wanders into danger, including the Bog of Discouragement and the misleading advice of Worldly Wise. Each time, Evangelist points him back toward the true road rather than abandoning him for his mistakes. He understands both the urgency of Christian's warning and the cost of the journey ahead. Unlike neighbors who turn around when travel becomes difficult, Evangelist remains committed to the destination he has described. His steady counsel gives Christian direction until the traveler reaches the cross, where his burden finally rolls away.
