Deadwood Joe

Deadwood Joe is the outlaw leader pursued by Jefferson Grant, the Lone Lawman in a Kids' Radio Western. His gang ambushes a stagecoach, leaving Jefferson as the only survivor and giving the lawman a personal reason to seek justice. Joe later recruits desperate orphan Percy O'Toole for a bank robbery. After using the boy, the outlaws betray him, tie him up, and set his ranch house on fire. Their cruelty forces Jefferson to choose between immediate capture and rescuing Percy. The lawman saves the boy and recovers the stolen gold, but Deadwood Joe escapes. Ruthless and slippery, Joe exploits vulnerability and treats loyalty as disposable. His crimes test whether Jefferson's pursuit will remain justice guided by mercy or become revenge driven by personal anger.
