Amy
Amy is a widow and the mother of ten-year-old Josh. During a severe storm, Jason Whittaker becomes stranded with them while trying to reach a youth retreat. Josh has a model airplane he has never finished with his father, whose busy schedule repeatedly came before time with his son. The unfinished project quietly exposes a problem Jason recognizes in his own priorities. While Amy and Josh offer him shelter from the storm, their family situation gives him an unexpected chance to stop watching the clock and notice the child beside him. Jason spends the evening giving Josh his attention, turning Amy's home into the setting for a lesson no planned speech could teach.
