Alejandro Murrieta

Alejandro Murrieta is a pastor in San Poco, Guatemala, and an old friend of Wilson Knox. He dreams of building a church and community center with classrooms, sports fields, food, and medical care for poor families. Alejandro carries deep guilt because, as a frightened child, he hid from cartel raiders without making room for his younger brother Joaquin, who was taken and later became a cartel leader. When the brothers finally meet, Alejandro brings no weapon. He returns Joaquin's childhood harmonica, confesses his cowardice, explains God's love, and asks forgiveness. Joaquin refuses, but Alejandro continues pursuing ministry instead of revenge. Compassionate yet haunted, he learns to place past evil before God while working to create safety for another generation of children.
