|A movie crew comes to Odyssey to film a movie about Whit's End! But the Odyssey gang soon learns that Hollywood isn't interested in the facts.
The "Movie" playing in the background when Whit and Bernard come outside to talk is actually dialogue taken from AIO:089 "That's Not Fair" in the part where Oscar is talking with his older brother.
The villian in the first AIO movie, "The Knight Travellers," was named Faustus, after the legendary Dr. Faustus who sold his soul to the devil. In Goethe's version of the story, the demon who dealt with Faustus was named [Mephisto]pheles, thus providing the name for the villainous Dr. Mephisto.
The move "Terminal Exterminator", starring someone named Arnold, is a reference to The Terminator movies starring Arnold Swarrezeneger (or however that's spelled).
The name of director Marty Scoresburg is a portmanteau of the famous real-life directors Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.
: After I refused to let them mangle my hair they got another actor who's, how can I say it?
: A geek, Eugene. The actor's a geek.
: It's the only thing about this film that's accurate.
: I beg your pardon!
: If you had read Whit's book, you'd realize how important the little things in life really are!
: [Like Connie's] mind, for instance.
: Yeah! Wait, what?
